The weather was grim and the mud was plentiful, but Cokoon made it to Soul Survivor Momentum and back in one piece. Getting there was the hardest part, as we braved horrific downpours (combined with London traffic), got snarled up in traffic somewhere around Stonehenge, and then got turned back by a toppled pylon when we were just minutes from our destination! And we got off lightly. Some friends ended up stuck on a train for 8 hours due to a landslide.
Once we finally arrived, we had to set up the bamboo cokoon, a unique house/clothes rack that I'd designed in my head (with some help from my architect father) but hadn't ever constructed. I was a bit nervous about it at first, but rapidly gained confidence as I realized you really can hold a bamboo structure together with just garden wire.
As you can see from the photos, it all stayed up somehow, and the colourful 10ft cokoon attracted quite a lot of interest. Hoodies were, not surprisingly, the most popular item, and the pop-up portable changing room (the blue pod thing behind the stall) gained a few admirers too. All in all, it was a successful and enjoyable festival début for Cokoon. And we even got a bit of sun towards the end.

Do let us know if you saw us there and have any thoughts about the quirky stall and its colourful contents. It'd be great to hear from you.
